Reimagining a mix of modern design and the tranquil affect of nature
The Annex is a transformative interior design project that redefines relaxation by merging modern comfort with nature’s beauty. By stripping the previous space down to its core, we created an expansive, light-filled retreat that embraces openness, tranquility, and seamless indoor-outdoor living. This newly imagined space now serves as a haven for relaxation, deep thinking and rejuvenation, offering uninterrupted views of dense vegetation and a stunning waterfront view.
A defining feature of The Annex is its floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors, which flood the interior with natural light while framing the lush surroundings like a living work of art. These architectural elements not only enhance the sense of openness but also create an effortless transition between the indoor sanctuary and the outdoor patio, allowing residents to fully immerse themselves in the landscape.
The interior design embraces a minimalist yet warm aesthetic, utilizing natural materials, Caribbean tones, and soft textures to maintain a calming and inviting atmosphere. Every element, from the furnishings to the lighting, was thoughtfully selected to complement the surrounding environment, ensuring that the space remains an extension of the natural world rather than a contrast to it.
Theereis a small outdoor seating area that is accessible through sleek glass doors. This further enhances The Annex’s connection to its environment. You can practically reach out and touch the trees. Designed for both solitude and social gatherings, the space offers comfortable seating arrangements that encourage relaxation while overlooking the serene waters and dense greenery. Whether enjoying the morning light or unwinding at sunset, this retreat provides a harmonious escape from the demands of everyday life.
The Annex showcases Contemporary Caribbean’s ability to craft spaces that enhance well-being and embrace the beauty of nature. This project is more than just a renovation—it is a sanctuary designed to inspire peace, reflection, and effortless connection with the world outside.
